Universidad Ana G. Méndez currently offers approximately 240 academic programs: technical certificates for those who prefer short careers, Associate’s degrees, Bachelor’s degrees, Masters, and Doctorates. Biography
José F. Méndez Méndez has worked for more than three decades at the Ana G. Méndez University (UAGM). He began in 1984 as the executive assistant to the general manager of the then Canal 40, today Sistema TV- Canal Universitario Ana G. Méndez. He was also associate director of programming, director of programming, director of administration, as well as vice president, and general manager. At the channel he worked for 14 years, seven of these, in charge of the general direction, where he made great contributions. Since 2002, he has excelled in the Office of the President, holding the positions of associate vice president of corporate and international affairs, vice president of administrative affairs, executive vice president, and as interim president. During that time in the Office of the President, he demonstrated his unwavering commitment to the institution, which today is evident in the development and impact that UAGM university centers in Puerto Rico and the United States have had. At the academic level, Méndez Méndez holds a bachelor's and master's degree in Business Administration, and is currently in the final stage of his doctoral degree in Management from the Ana G. Méndez University, Gurabo Campus.
Since his appointment as president of the UAGM in 2016, Méndez Méndez has had as his goal to promote a culture of continuous innovation from the administrative, academic, and student dimensions. Likewise, he has strengthened the international projection, the focus on technology, and research. He is married to Dr. Eileen Rodríguez Domenech and has four children: José Francisco (Jofran), José Fernando, Vicente, and Fabiola.
